A New Year

Posted by heatherlanefarms on May 28, 2010 at 10:18 AM

I have been so caught up in kidding season, milk season, FUDGE MAKING and now rolling into show season and dead in the middle of tailgate market season, that I forgot to update the blog...GEESH!

Thanks to all our new customers, it has been a pleasure to meet you all and to share our SWEETNESS called Mountain Made Goat Milk Fudge.

This year has been exciting for us, we are almost finished with candy kitchen on the farm. This will allow me to expand our product line and work on some of the wonderful ideas that I have bouncing around in my head. We are on the MENU at Jackson Underground Cafe in the Jackson Building, downtown Asheville. And I mean on the menu as in "Goat Milk Fudge 2.00" I can think of no other place in the world that has that on their menu board! We are also at Neo Burrito in the Patton Square Center on Patton Avenue. This year also finds us Loca Motive Market at the WNC Farmers Market, a cute store run by Jeanette Wilson of Hominy Valley Farms. Everything in the store is a ASAP certified product direct from the farmer. Troyers Amish Store in Fairview, where you can purchase fresh made (on site) sourdough bread and items in bulk. I love this store! Lane's favorite store is Lapland Book Shop in Marshall. A wonderful little store that we sprend hours in when we deliver fudge. There are books for any age reader, both new and used.

We helped to make history and attended the First Annual Dairy Goat Festival in Spindale,NC. What an exciting day to celebrate these wonderful creatures that provide so much for humans worldwide! There were several vendors with goat products for sale, a dairy goat parade down Main Street and a ADGA Dairy Goat show with all breeds represented. Live bands played on one end of the street. It was just all so cool, that I can hardly wait until next year!

May the world become sweet with Goat Milk Fudge!
